Time and time again disaster has struck without any warning so, it is imperative we prepare ourselves and get familiar with the basic and obvious survival tips. Today governments of many countries are spending millions, preparing to prevent their country, before any natural calamities strike like tsunami, floods, earthquakes, cyclones, droughts, heatwave etc.
However, you never know when you’ll end up in any of these situations, so it’s very important to know about survival tips. Studies have shown that those who mentally prepare themselves for disaster beforehand, do remarkably well when catastrophe strikes. In a powerless situation, your mind gets into a tunnel vision, where your brain focuses on just one thing, and that is to get out from that mess. It’s like your brain has already planned in advance, for a disaster type situation. That’s the reason why you see the army or police often survive tragedies because they are trained in their mind to take action during unforeseen circumstances. 1. Pants a life-preserver
If ever you find yourself in a drowning situation, then here is a technique called ‘drown-proofing’ which is training given to the navy.This is one of the most effective survival tips in a drowning situation. So, when you’re drowning you take your pants off and make it into a life preserver by tying the ankles together of the pant in a knot, then lift the waistband high, hold it open and swoosh your pants through the air, then slip the inflated legs of the pant over your head, but keep the waistband underwater, so that the air doesn’t come out.
